Atenlab – Tempest Room

Electronic equipment such as computers and other peripherals emit electromagnetic (EM) radiation into space or a nearby conductive medium such as power lines, communication wires, or even water pipes. These emissions can contain the information that the device is displaying or storing. With the right receiver, these signals transmitted via conducted and radiated electromagnetic emission down an unprotected telephone or a power line can potentially be intercepted by an intruder from a nearby building. This presents an obvious risk of compromise of sensitive or classified information.

A shielded room provides the highest possible shielding attenuation, creating a controlled electromagnetic environment protecting computer server data centers according to Tempest requirements. In addition, Tempest filters and RF waveguide are used as an interface mechanism for powerline, communication wires and water pipe to travel in or out of the shielded room while maintaining the high quality shielding of the Tempest room.

To provide shielding effectiveness of 100dB for both conducted and radiated electromagnetic emission over frequency band of 300MHz – 6GHz, using the top grade shielding panel and Tempest filters.

Technology Description Shielding Enclosure

The shielding modules have standardized dimensions and are designed for frequencies from 300MHz up to 6 GHz. The use of modules offers the possibility of building up enclosures to any size. The basic modules can be optionally equipped with shielding parts such as honeycomb ventilation panel, feed-through panel etc. Special modules are available to match an enclosure to particular structural conditions of the host building.

Honeycomb Ventilation Panel

All the input connectors, small signal line filters and waveguides will be fixed on removable penetration panels. These standard Signal connector panels are called AP, and their usable size is 600 x 400mm

All honeycombs are compatible with the frequency range to 6GHz requested for the shielding effectiveness. Ambiance ventilation: 4 units honeycombs of 600 x 400mm

Access Panels

To mount the various feed through elements the facility has included penetration panels. These penetration panels can be equipped with different feed through devices according customer requirements. They can come in plug or screw versions.

These mounting methods allow for high flexibility of the shielding structure since feed through devices such as RF-connectors and data line filters can be easily exchanged.

Control Line Filter for Analogue Phone

This is a 10/100/1000BASE-T copper to 1000BASE-X fiber media converter that supports jumbo frames up to 10,240 bytes. It features Small Form Pluggable (SFP) transceivers that support both 100BASE-FX and 1000BASE-X for interoperability with Gigabit and Fast Ethernet fiber equipment. SFP transceivers enable adaptability to different fiber types, speed and distances, and support Coarse Wave Division Multiplexing (CWDM) wavelengths.

Quality Warranty

The warranty periods are shown in the following table and starts on the day of commissioning. During the warranty period, repair of any defective part is free of charge, including alternative exchange into a new part if repair is not possible. For any part changed, the warranty period restarts on the day of repair of that part. The technical performance of the installation must not be changed.
